BarDIMM Overview
Easy to install and easy to use, BarDIMM is the fast and simple way to add true barcode printing capabilities to your HP LaserJet printers and MFP devices. Unlike font-based barcode solutions, the printer-based BarDIMM actually extends the PCL language of the printer or MFP device. Barcode formatting, error detection and checksum applications are performed in the printer, reducing the load on the host system and the network. For maximum flexibility, barcodes can be printed in almost any size or rotation. Text values can be embedded in the bars, half embedded in the bars, or printed above or below the bars in a variety of fonts and sizes. Thanks to its plug & play Windows interface, BarDIMM can be utilized by practically any Windows application. It is also directly supported by SAP R/3 and is compatible with ERP offerings from Oracle, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards, as well as many custom applications.
